The following is a comprehensive list of English-capable accommodation options in Zamami Village.  The embedded spreadsheet provides an overview of choices primarily by price as determined by type of room and number of meals if any. Following the spreadsheet is a set of brief descriptions of each establishment, general prices, and preferred means of contact for reservations.

Please note, Japanese accommodations generally determine prices based on the number of customers.  In other words, you will be charged per person instead of per room (as is common in the United States).  The establishments are listed in no particular order.  Utilize the search function of your web browser by pressing Ctrl-F (Command-F on mac) to find information quickly.

Zamami Island:

  2. Pension Marine House Zamami
    • A pension by the port with multiple rooms. The western-style bed rooms face the port and include a washlet (toilet and showerhead in same room). Japanese-style rooms do not have a bathroom.  There are also shared baths available for use. Pension Zamami serves breakfast upon request at an additional charge.

  3. Blue Marine

    • Sendoron has both Japanese-style and western-style rooms. Only the western-style bed rooms include a private bathroom. Western-style rooms start at 5940 yen per person per night without meals.   5. Minshuku Miyamura
    • There are both Western-style bed rooms and Japanese-style futon-on-tatami rooms.  The Western-style bed rooms include a private bathroom, and prices start at around 4000 yen per person per night without meals.  Japanese-style rooms have a set of shared bathrooms and rates start at around 3500 yen per person per night without meals.  Meals are available at the connected restaurant La Toquee for an additional fee.  Minshuku Miyamura is a relatively newly constructed hotel and is highly favored among Japanese and international travellers for its affordable prices.

  6. Nanseisou

    • Zamamia has hostel-style bunkbeds (aka. dormitory-style), a women’s-only dormitory room, and western-style private bed rooms.  All bathrooms and shower rooms are shared.  The dormitory-hostel style bunkbeds start at 2000 yen per person per night without meals.  The private bed rooms start at 3000 yen per person per night without meals.  Zamamia is the only internationally owned establishment in Zamami Village and also serves as a pizza and burger restaurant for lunch and dinner.  On Booking.com.

    • Located in the Ama Area (20-minute walk or 5-minute bus from Zamami Port).  Offers Okinawan, Japanese, Western, and Chinese food.  Located in the Ama area, Yadokari is a 2-minute walk from the beach and has a very ‘at home’ feel. It is also a diving service. Large grass yard with picnic tables, perfect for and often hosting BBQs. Japanese-style tatami rooms starting at 4860. Rooms with wood-flooring are also available.
