While diving and snorkeling are ways for visitors to have fun in the water, sea kayaking and standup paddleboard (SUP) tours are the perfect means of exploration and adventure on the surface of the water.  Sea kayaking has been a common activity in Zamami for quite a few years now.  Recently, the Hawaiian-born sport of standup paddleboarding has taken off in popularity as well.

Zamami Village is the perfect venue for sea kayaking and SUP for a few reasons.  First, Zamami Village is comprised of over 20 islands that host more hidden beaches than one can count.  The opportunities for exploration are limitless.  Second, the waters surrounding Zamami’s islands are very calm and flat–perfect for paddling sports.  Third, Zamami’s shallow and calm sea is one of the clearest in the world with visibility at over 30 meters (100 feet) during the summer months.  The clear waters allow paddlers to see all kinds of fish and coral right from their kayak or board.  You will feel like you are gliding over turquoise glass.

Both sea kayaking and standup paddleboard tours usually depart from a beach and head to other hidden beaches or uninhabited islands.  From there, participants disembark for snorkeling.  Full day tours often include lunch before heading to another spot for more snorkeling.

In addition to the exploration and snorkeling tours, there are other options from beginner lessons to advanced courses that cut out the snorkeling and focus on as much paddling as possible.

Sea Kayaking and SUP are the perfect Zamami activities for those looking for a chance to take an adventure and explore all that Zamami’s sea has to offer.
